In response to the call for the development of renewable energy sources from the Energy Committee, and assisted by the Industrial Academy Energy Resources Institute, the company completed the Spring Breeze Wind Generated Electricity demonstration system at C hu P ei factory in 2003 , the first application case of a large wind generated electricity system at a level of one million watts in Asia. The total investment exceeded 115 million dollars. Two 1,750 KW wind power sets can generate electricity of up to 8.82 million degrees annually, saving electrical costs of nearly 15 million dollars each year for the factory. CO2 discharge can be reduced by 5,400 tons each year in the area of petro-fuel that is replaceable by green energy.

The Spring Breeze Wind Generated Electricity System employs two large windmills nearly 30 stories high that were imported from Denmark in Northern Europe. The windmills are able to generate electricity while turning 360 degrees into the wind automatically; they are also known as the new landmarks of the Wind City for their peculiar shape, and the fact that they blend in with local natural conditions. Thus, production of the Spring Breeze product series by our company initiated a new era of wind generated electricity applications within the country. Adding wind generated energy supplies to the clean production course amplifies the green value of the products. In addition to administration responsibility practice in relation to promotion of ecological benefits, attached value in connection to the environment can be created by combining local resources, enhancing local tourist resources and environmental education, forming an example of the utilization of natural resources and harmonious care for the natural environment, and obtaining joint promotion and glorification of power flows as spring breeze blows from the local community that has changed from opposition to acceptance, and the creation of common prosperity.
